Oranga Product Review

Hi guys,

So I was kindly sent some products from Oranga organic cosmetics (http://www.orangacosmetics.com/) to review so here it is!

'Lovingly made by hand using 100% unrefined Sri Lankan Coconut Oil'

The lip balm:

This lip balm is made out of coconut oil,Pure Kahl Beeswax, Pure Cocoa Butter & Pure Madera Honey . It  smells of mint chocolate.  I have to say it really works, I love it, I've been using it everyday and i'll definitely be sad when it runs out. I have been told by the brand not to review any of their packaging as they are changing it, but I really liked it. You can only buy them from Ebay or their etsy shop, but on Ebay I saw that it was £2.80.

Overall, I really enjoyed this product and will use it till its empty.

The body butters:

As summer is coming around it is important to look after your skin so that it looks nice when you wear shorts or sort sleeved tops.
The first one is the lime & nutmeg whipped coconut oil body utter. This is made with coconut oil, shea butter, Vitamin E oil, almond oil, Madagascan vanilla and lime & nutmeg Essential oils. This smells zingy and I believe that is the lime coming through. They both melt into your skin lovely and takes no time at all for your skin to dry. I use them both al the time I love them. They are £5.99 and are 200ml big. £5.99 Isn't bad for how much you get in it. They are both really light and really lush. I love the green packaging but sadly they are changing it. But once it runs out I will definitely reuse the pot, as it is so nice.

The second one  is Rose geranium, lavender & juniper whipped coconut oil. The ingredients include: coconut oil, shea butter, vitamin E oil, Almond oil, Madagascan vanilla and rose geranium, lavender & juniper essential oil. In this one you can really smell the lavender.

Overall, I really love these products and will definitely be buying these again.

I hoped you enjoyed this post! Please tweet me (unicorngirl945) or leave a comment.

Mcbusted MEAT 2015 *SPOILERS*

Hi guys!!

So on Monday night I had the privilege of seeing Mcbusted live for the second time and it was one of the best nights of my life. So I thought that I should do an overall review.

*CONTAINS SPOILERS*

You may be thinking what is Mcbusted, so here is a bit of background:

Mcbusted consists of two bands who have came together and created a super group and they are Mcfly and Busted. Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter are all from Mcfly who have been together since 2003! Busted consists of James Bourne and Matt Willis (Charlie Simpson was part of busted but they broke up many years ago and Charlie didn't want to join Mcbusted as he is a solo artist now).
(From left to right: Danny, Matt, Tom, Dougie, James and Harry)

The set list:

This year the set list was amazing it consists of songs from mcbusted new album, classic mcfly songs and busted.
  1. Air Guitar
  2. Hate your guts
  3. One for the radio
  4. Thunderbirds are go
  5. Get over it
  6. You said no
  7. 3am
  8. What happened to your band
  9. Air hostess
  10. What I go to school for
  11. Obviously
  12. Beautiful girls are the loneliest
  13. Crashed the wedding
  14. Riding on my bike
  15. All about you
  16. Star Girl
  17. Five Colours in her hair
  18. Shine a light
  19. Year 3000
My favourite song has got to be Riding on my bike as I cant listen to it without picturing James on his bike!!
(Riding on my bike)
Merchandise:
  • Short sleeved tops £20
  • Long sleeved £25
  • Jumpers £35 (I think)
  • OMFG tins £20 (contains: 1 x poster, 1 x inflatable rock hand, 1 x pack of stickers and if your lucky 2 OMFG zone tickets)
  • Mugs £10
  • Wristbands £4
  • Necklace £10
  • Inflatable guitars £6
  • Posters £5
  • Guitar picks £5
  • Key rings £5
  • Chokers £5
  • Programs £10
I bought a OMFG tin (sadly didn't win), a program and a wristband. If you went to last years concert you will know that they are festival style wristbands so don't do them up to tight otherwise your cant take it off.

If the tour merch is released on the mcbusted website I'm deffo gunna buy a long sleeved top. It is a baseball style top and says hate your guts, its just so beautiful and is black and white.

Dogs in mud cake

Hi guys,

Now I know that baking isn't really related to fashion/beauty but for a long time I have loved baking. Therefore I thought I should share some of my recipes!!

Ingredients:

For the cake:
3 medium free range eggs
200g sr flour
200g caster sugar
200g stork cooking margarine
30g-50g of cocoa powder (depends on how chocolaty you want it)

For between the cakes:

200g icing sugar
100g stork

For the top:

250ml double cream
400g milk chocolate (I just used 4 bars of sainsburys basics)
3 boxes of chocolate fingers (You could also use kitkats if you didn't like fingers!)

Ready roll icing
Food colouring: black (or any other colour you want your dogs to be)

How to make:

  • Preheat your oven to gas mark 4/ 180 degrees (fan) and line 2 20cm (8in) cake tins
  • Add your  sugar and stork into a bowl and whisk until light and fluffy
  • Mix the 3 eggs into a mug/bowl until beaten together
  • Add a third of the eggs and a table spoon of sr flour to the sugar and stork
  • Repeat this until the eggs have been mixed in
  • With the left over flour mix it with the cocoa powder and add to the mixture
  • Divide mixture into the cake tins and cook for 15-25 minutes depending on your oven

For the icing:
  • While your cakes are coking beat the icing sugar and stork together
  • DON'T ADD EXTRA STORK as it will eventually turn into butter icing just keep beating it
  • Once your cakes have cooled place the icing sugar onto the bottom cake

For the chocolate sauce:

  • Place the cream into a pan over a low heat
  • Keep stirring until it starts to boil
  • In between break the chocolate bar into small pieces
  • When the cream is almost boiling remove it from the heat and gradually add the chocolate
  • Keep stirring until you have a nice smooth mass and then leave to cool stirring every now and again

This is where you have to be patient. Make sure your chocolate sauce has cooed before taking these next steps!!

  • Once your chocolate sauce has cooled smear some of it onto the sides of your cake. Use a spatula or a back of a knife to do this.
  • Once you have completed this stick your chocolate fingers onto the sides of your cake but making sure they don't slip off. This part can be quite tricky so take your time!
  • Now pour the remaining of the chocolate sauce onto the top. IF YOUR SAUCE IS TOO THIN IT WILL SEEP THROUGH GAPS!
  • Place it in the fridge for 5-10 minutes before placing you dogs/animals onto the cake
  • The dogs which I chose to do were black labs but I couldn't turn the icing black so I eventually gave up, but I think if you tried you could make them black.
  • Also as it was for someone birthday I wrote 'Happy Birthday' in writing icing.
I hope you enjoyed this type of blog post. Please if you make this cake send me a picture of it @unicorngirl945

Nail varnish favourites!!

Hey guys,

As I'm obsessed with nail varnishes, as you may of seen in one of my previous haulshttp://unicorngirl2000.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/barry-m-nail-varnish-haul.html
I thought that I should tell you my favourite ones!

This nail varnish is from the Tanya Burr collection at super drug and feel unique. Even though it takes a few coats so that it gives you the full effect, but it is still one of my favourites as the red is such a pretty red, and also the name is a harry potter reference (mischief managed).

This nail varnish is from the Gelly Barry M range called sugar apple and is a mint green sort of colour but with a bit of blue. I think that you could get away with just one coat but I prefer to apply two coats. I love this range as they make you look as if you have gel nails when really it took you the quarter of the time! Its such a pretty colour and would be amazing for spring but I just wear it all the time as I love pastel colours.

This nail varnish is just a ' traditional' one and is in the colour bright purple. This varnish takes about 2 - 3 coats to get the maximum effect you want. Its just such a pretty purple and looks great all year round. I believe that Barry M make the best nail Varnishes and the majority of my varnishes are from there.

Please tell me if you have used any of these or have any to recommend. I would love to hear from you. Tweet me: @unicorngirl945
