August Favourites 2015

Its the end of the month so its time for another favourites post!

This month I have one skincare product and that is the No7 Beautiful skin cleansing lotion. I have been using this for so long and I feel as if my skin is in a better condition since using it. It is a pricey product, coming in at about £10 but I do believe that it is worth it considering how long it lasts for, and don't forget it is your skin which is visible to everyone, so you should take good care of it.

Throughout this month I have only had one colour on my nails and that is the Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Sugar Apple. Even though it does take about 3 coats to make it opaque, it lasts a long time on your nails (as long as you don't bite them). It is a really nice summery colour and looks amazing if you have a tan. This month I rediscovered my love for the Taylor Swift WonderStruck perfume. I have had this perfume for a number of years but I always seem to drag it out of the draw every year. Not only do I love the bottle I really love the scent. It has a really lovely summery smell to it and everytime I smell it, I get reminded of the summer holidays as it has a fruity smell, which is amazing.

Recently I discovered that they are going to make another Narnia film called the Silver Chair, and that got me really excited as I am a huge Narnia fan! So I decided to watch the trilogy from the start, and I'm obsessed the amount of times I've watched them other the month I could probably act them all out! Even though I love Narnia I think that the fourth one will be quite sad as the Pevensie siblings are now too old for Narnia :(

Pink Obsession

Hi Guys,

So recently I have been in love with the colour pink, so I thought that I should share my favourite items that are pink! :)

My tangle teezer is my prized possession, I take it with me anywhere I go. As my hair can get really knotty and tangled this brush doesn't rip all of my hair out as I brush it. As it is £11 some people would say its not worth the money but as I have had it for over 2 years and it still completely fine I would say go for it. Its such an amazing quality and I believe that it will last me a few more years!

Recently, I have been loving putting two different nail varnishes on my nails. I first place Superdry's 'punk pink' on all of my nails then once they dry I put Barry M's Superdrug birthday nail varnish on my ring finger. I really like the look of glitter on just one finger. With the Barry M one the glitter is Pink, Blue, Purple and silver which look amazing on top of the pink. As they are both old they are not sold any more.

This is the first lip scrub I've ever owned and OMG I have fell in love. This scrub is from Victoria Secret and its the beauty rush flavour in strawberry fizz. It smells so sweet. I feel as if it makes my lips look fuller and as it has a tint in it it makes my lips look pinker than they normally are. I would recommend this scrub to but if you cant get your hands on it the lush lip scrubs are very similar.

Handwash isn't something that I would normally blog about but I love this one so much. Strawberry laces have got to be one of my favourite sweets so when I saw this had to get it. It leaves your hands smelling of sweets and its so good to know that it actually kills germs while smelling lush. Its also pink so whats not to love.

This is the only Rimmel lip butter that I own but I will defiantly have to buy more. I have it in strawberry shortcake, its such a nice baby pink and goes onto your lips and it stays on for a long time. As I wear it all the time I have nearly ran out so I will have to buy a new one soon.

Finally, its a shower gel. This gel has got to be one of my favourite scents radox do, its smells so summery and I must of bought several bottles of this I'm obsessed. It foams up so easily. You smell so lovely when you get out of the shower. Radox is one of the cheaper shower gels but only because I don't understand why you need to spend so much money on shower gel when they all do the same thing.

Chocolate Cornflake cakes

Hi Guys,

So today I'm back with another baking post, as I love baking. So today I've made cornflake cakes which are fun, easy and the whole family can get involved. This recipe only takes 10 - 15 minutes to complete, so here it is:

Ingredients

100g of Cornflakes (I use the cheap ones)

60g of Butter

100g of Cooking Chocolate

3 heaped tablespoons of Golden Syrup

Equipment

Scales

Large Mixing Bowl

Medium Pan

Wooden Spoon

Cake Cases

Spoons

How To Make

Firstly, place the syrup, chocolate and the butter into a pan and place it onto a low heat. Constantly mix until its all melted (So it doesn't burn)

Next, wait for it to cool slightly then add it to the cornflakes and mix until the cornflakes are completely covered (you may need to add a few extra handfuls of cornflakes)

Finally, spoon the mixture into the cake cases and place them into the fridge until hardened. You could also add decorations like chocolate eggs to the top before placing them in the fridge, but I decided not to.
