April Favourites 2015!!

Hi guys,

As it is coming to the end of April I thought that it would be a good idea to share a few of my favourites from this month :)

 Makeup:

I only have two make up favourites this month as I haven't had the chance to try out new products.
The first one is the 'Barry M natural glow shadow and blush palette' (which you might of seen in one of my recent posts). I have been loving this as I feel as if the colours are very spring colours. The colours are so beautiful my favourite one has got to be the fifth one from the left as you can create a nice smoky eye which fits into the season.
The second one is the 'soap & glory thick and fast mascara'.This mascara creates volume without having to apply too much. Also it spreads your lashes apart, so that they are not stuck together. I'm not really a fan of soap & glory make up products but this mascara is amazing!

Fragrance:

The Brittany spears midnight fantasy has been my favourite perfume for a number of years. I have tried to branch away from it but I find that I'm always drawn back into it. My friends say that the smell reminds them of me. I would't recommend this if you don't really like sweet smells as its very sweet. But I would advise you to go and have a smell as I never liked sweet smells until this came into my life.

Hair:

Tangle teezers; where can I start. These are a life saver for me as my hair gets really knotty and unmanageable but these help me so much. I have two, the original one (in pink) and the compact one(in purple). I keep the Pink one at home and the purple is in my bag 24/7. I am just obsessed with them! My next favourite is the COLAB dry shampoo in the fragrance london. Recently, when I wake up on a morning and don't have enough time to wash my hair as its greasy, I spray some of this and then brush it through with my pink tangle teezer, and like magic my hair looks like it has just been washed. It also adds a lot of volume into my hair which is amazing as I suffer with flat, lifeless hair.

Random:

I thought that I should also share a few of my other favourites of this month, just in case your not really into make up.

Tv shows:

Recently, I have been obsessed with a tv show called Arrow. Without spoiling any of it, Its basically about a 'playboy billionaire' Oliver Queen who gets stranded on an island for 5 years and when he returns to his home town, nobody knows what has happened to him. He then decides to become 'Arrow' and put right all the wrongs which his city (starling) has faced. Its stars Stephen Amell (who I love) Emily Bett Rickards, Willa Holland an many others. I would definitely  recommend this even if you don't like things like marvel ect.

Music:

All I listen too, non stop is velvetgh0st' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eExLxoXB1rE) cover of 'love me like you do' with Hobbie Stuart. I'm not really a big fan of the original song, but wow with Gabby's and Hobbies voices I'm just drawn in. Who knew Gabby could sing that good! And they mashed it up with thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran which is one of my all time favourite songs. I would of never of thought that these two songs would sound so perfect together! I would definitely recommend that you go and take a listen as you wont regret it. They way that they look at each other is just so cute!!

Right well I hope you have enjoyed my first favourites post, and I assure you that there will be many more to come in the future.

Chocolate Orange Cookies!

Hi guys,

So over Easter I was given a terry's chocolate orange by one of my friends, as its my favourite chocolate. So I thought instead of eating the orange as it is I would put it into a cookie!

Ingredients:

1 x chocolate orange (chopped into small pieces)
2 x large eggs
2 1/4 cups of sr flour
1 cup of stork butter
3/4 cup of sugar
sprinkle of salt

How to make:

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees
In a medium bowl, sift the flour and salt. Set it aside
In a large bowl beat the butter and sugar together until creamy
Then beat the eggs in 1 at a time
A cup at a time add the flour into the wet ingredients
Then add the pieces of chocolate orange, making sure not to over stir the dough

Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet.
Cook them for 9-12 minutes
Don't make them too big as the will take longer to cook
My cookies did burn slightly around the edges to make sure to watch them

This recipe is quite simple and easy to do, so its quite quick. Please send me pics over twitter @unicorngirl945 if you make these. Or leave a comment.

Hi guys,

So I thought that I should show you what products I have been using recently. I like to go for a natural look as I don't really like to stand out from the crowd. Rimmel wake me up foundation in 'True Nude'
Rimmel wake me up concealer in 'True Ivory'
Barry M natural glow shadow and blush palette 'That Blusher'

Soap & Glory thick & fast mascara 'Black'
Seventeen lip lustre 'Talk That Talk'

The brushes I like to use to apply my make up (other than my fingers) are:

Real techniques cheek brush
Real techniques duo-fiber face brush
Real techniques base shadow brush
Real techniques angled shadow brush

I love to have a noisy in peoples make up bags as I find it useful to find out what products people like. So I hope you enjoy this little noisy. I'll keep this post short and sweet.

Brainwavz S1 review

Hi guys,

The other week I was contacted by the people at brainwavz (http://www.yourbrainwavz.com/s1.html)  asking if I could review their product, so here it is!
The Product:

These headphones are the best pair I have ever owned. They are quite expensive coming to a total of £37, but they are worth the money. As they are an over the ear design, it took my a while to figure out how to get them to stop falling out, But it only took me about 30 minutes to fix that problem. They are really comfortable and block out a lot of noise, but I am comparing them to cheap headphones as thats all I can afford! They are such good sound quality! I love how the wire is flat which helps them stop from tangling. They are dark grey and a dark sort of mucky purple which are actually my favourite colours so what's not to love. They feel strong, as if they wont be breaking soon.

Accessories included:

With the headphones you also get:

  • 1 x hard carrying case (which is red and black)
  • 1 x comply foam tips t-400
  • 6 x silicone ear tips (small, medium & large)
  • 1 x silicone bi-flange ear tips
  • 1 x silicone tri-flange ear tips
  • 1 x plane adapter
I haven't got to use the majority of these but I have used the carrying case and the comply foam tips. The case it was really easy to place the headphones in it, there was no messing about trying to squeeze it all in. The foam tips was amazing they blocked out all excess sound when walking about so you could just hear the music, like how you would want it to.

I think that if these do eventually break I will most likely buy another pair a I love them so much.

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you have any questions please tweet me @unicongirl945 or leave a comment!
